Our last event before the summer break saw members gather to discuss how to harness the power of digital technologies to engage citizens in their healthcare. We were delighted to welcome four excellent speakers offering perspectives.

  • Axel Heitmueller, Managing Director, Imperial College Partners
  • Miriam Levin, Chief Executive, Engage Britain
  • Mark Davies, Consulting Chief Health Officer, IBM Healthcare & Life Sciences
  • Penny Kechagioglou, Consultant Clinical Oncologist, Chief Clinical Information Officer and deputy Chief Medical Officer, University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire

We are grateful to IBM for partnering with us on this event. Thank you also to DrDoctor for hosting us and lending us their office dog for the evening!

“Thank you to Cambridge Health Network for inviting me to speak at their event this week about #citizenengagement in healthcare and harnessing the power of #digitaltechnologies. Exciting times ahead with opportunities to develop the NHSApp, widen NHS collaborations, empower citizens, create agency and build clinical and analytical skills in our workforce.”

“Great session on digital transformation in the NHS this evening at Cambridge Health Network. And fantastic questions on what we can learn from the dating and betting industry!! Great to hear from Dr Penny Kechagioglou about engaging clinicians and patients in the design of technology and the work that IBM Consulting are doing on digital front door with Amazon Web Services (AWS) at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust

We enjoyed hosting Cambridge Health Network at DrDoctor HQ last night. Alive and on point discussion on citizen engagement. Could not have been more relevant to the problems we’ve been solving for the last 10 years. Loved the contributions.
