‘To rate or not to rate, that is the question’
8th May 2013
As part of the coalition government’s response to the Francis report, the secretary of state Jeremy Hunt announced a new rating system for NHS organisations. Curated by a new chief inspector of hospitals and not unlike the star ratings of the early 2000s, we are told that this new score will be the “single version of the truth” telling all of us the standard of our local NHS services. Our speakers debated the merits of such a rating and discussed which quality metrics are appropriate to measure the NHS.
Speakers:
Dr Jennifer Dixon, Chief Executive, Nuffield Trust
David Prior, Chair, Care Quality Commission
David Sissling, Chief Executive, NHS Wales
Venue: Deloitte
Time: 5:30pm registration, event starts at 6pm
