Bringing Live Well to Life in Manchester

Article

On 26th February we returned to Manchester for a second “CHN on tour” event. We enjoyed another packed house to hear and participate in a lively and optimistic discussion about LiveWell – Greater Manchester’s movement for community-led health and wellbeing.

More than 100 senior healthcare leaders gathered to hear about the inspirational work taking place across the city.

As CHN Co-Chair Pam Garside says, “Despite the huge challenges facing health and social care there is hope on the horizon with programmes like this to improve the health and well being of the population. You could see that the (packed) audience felt uplifted”.

Huge thanks to Mayor Andy Burnham, Mark Britnell (Chair, Health Innovation Manchester), Caroline Simpson (CEO of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority), Guy Lucchi (leader of System C Healthcare) and Saif Ahmed (GP and transformation expert from Health Innovation Manchester) for speaking and giving us different takes on the LiveWell programme.

We are grateful to Mills & Reeve for kindly hosting us and to our friends at Health Innovation Manchester for helping us produce this event.
