Value, suffering and incentives
Dr Tom Lee, together with Professor Michael Porter, has been one of the leading advocates of “Value based healthcare”. At this event Dr Lee will further develop the understanding of value in healthcare and what “value” means for clinical leaders. In particular, how to engage and motivate clinical staff to achieve outcomes that matter to patients.
Dr Tom Lee recently became Chief Medical Officer at Press Ganey, and is on leave from his professorships at the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Harvard School of Public Health. Previously he was Network President for Partners Healthcare System, the integrated delivery system founded by Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.
